ABOUT THE COURSE
Rob’s session will explore an incredible wealth of visual resources; demonstrating how still and moving image texts can be used to scaffold the writing process through the development of vocabulary, building sentences and structuring paragraphs leading to whole text writing.
Rob will demonstrate how the new national curriculum expectations can be met through oral rehearsal with drama and role play.
Grammar is a large part of the curriculum and we believe that it should be embedded into the teaching of English and taught in context using films and animations as good models.
Film and animation can be used to inspire writing across a range of narrative and non-narrative text types. Rob will demonstrate how to weave these films and animations into existing units of work as well as building new units around one or more stimuli.
£160 for 1 place, £300 for 2 places
