Description

Reading in a test is a unique type of reading. The day consists of professional development and pupil materials to help children to read more confidently and effectively in National Reading Assessments at Year 2 and 6.

The day draws on research and best practice to outline how being able to read in a test is an important part of a reader’s repertoire. Moreover that teaching these skills is a shared, whole school responsibility.

The day also gives participants the opportunity to work with Year 2 and Year 6 pupils at the host school to try out a range of learning activities.
