Using ‘Drama’ Strategies to Deepen Whole Class Learning

ABOUT THE COURSE

This new course is based on my book, ‘40+ ‘Drama’ Strategies to Deepen Whole Class Learning,’ (Routledge, April 2024).

Teachers will be introduced to a range of active and interactive strategies, that can be used whilst teaching any subject. The different configurations and protocols that different strategies employ will be explained, and how each can be framed to scaffold thinking and inter-thinking, and/or enable talk. Those attending will learn how to set up, adapt and sequence strategies, to deepen learning and help make it enjoyable and highly memorable.

Online course sessions enable some strategies to be explained, whereas school-based sessions enable participants to experience trying out some of the strategies together.

• An edited copy of the Powerpoint (as a PDF)
• Several articles about specific strategies

Schools that book an on-site INSET day will also receive a Drama Resources folder for the staff room.

COST

Twilights (up to 2 hours, on site or online): £225
Half day on site or online, (up to 3 hours): £350
Full day on site, (up to 6 hours): £650

These costs are based on one school and up to 30 participants.

Plus:

• Above 30 participants, add £10 per additional person
• Travel @45p a mile, (capped at £175)
• Overnight budget hotel, (if necessary)
