Active and Interactive Teaching Strategies for Whole Class Learning

ABOUT THE COURSE

This new course is based on my latest book, ‘40+ ‘Drama’ Strategies to Deepen Whole Class Learning,’ (Routledge, April 2024).

Teachers will be introduced to a range of strategies, that can be used during the teaching of any subject. The different configurations and protocols that various strategies employ, will be explained and how they can be framed by teachers, to scaffold thinking and enable talk. Clear instructions will be given about how to set up, adapt and sequence strategies, to deepen learning and make it more memorable.

Online course sessions will enable some of the strategies to be explained, whereas school-based sessions will enable participants to try out some of the strategies together, during the session.

• Several articles about specific strategies

COST

Twilights (up to 2 hours, on site or online): £225
Half day on site or online, (up to 3 hours): £350
Full day on site, (up to 6 hours): £650

These costs are based on one school and up to 30 participants.

Plus:

• Above 30 participants, add £10 per additional person
• Travel @45p a mile, (capped at £175)
• Overnight budget hotel accommodation, (if required)

ALSO AVAILABLE

6th and 13th June 2024 (online from 4pm to 6pm) A pair of online sessions that can be booked online via Eventbrite. Teachers can try out some strategies between the two sessions and feedback for further advice and support.
